How KIA cut attendance and time-tracking time in half with ZenHR
KIA replaced disconnected HR tools across its Jordan and Iraq branches with one platform for payroll, approvals, attendance and compensation, connected to its in-house ERP.

ZenHR made my life easier. The app is so easy for employees to use; it helps keep them engaged and happy.
When the workforce outgrows the systems behind it
KIA runs a workforce of roughly 670 people across Jordan and Iraq, around 350 in Jordan and 320 in Iraq, spread across multiple branches in each country. At that scale, keeping payroll, attendance, vacations and employee records consistent branch to branch and country to country is the baseline, not a bonus.
Two countries, one HR team, and data that didn’t add up
The systems in place before ZenHR didn’t talk to each other. Attendance lived in one place and other employee data somewhere else, so a full picture of any employee or branch had to be pieced together by hand. Compensation and benefits weren’t supported at all and were managed outside any system.
Why ZenHR
KIA needed one platform that could handle compensation and benefits natively, replace the patchwork of tools, and connect to the systems the business already ran on. ZenHR does both, and integrates directly with KIA’s in-house ERP.
One place for everything
Since 2023, KIA has run its day-to-day HR on ZenHR, with the heaviest use in:
- Approvals: routing requests across every branch from one place
- Payroll: running compensation centrally instead of branch by branch
- Vacations: managing leave across the full workforce
- Reports: employee and branch data without stitching sources together
- Attendance and time tracking: unified with the rest of the employee record
“The UI of approvals makes it so much easier for multiple branches and to manage everything in one place.” — Aya Aldaqqa
The results
- Attendance and time-tracking time cut in half, with the time reinvested in strategy and organizational development.
- One place for HR data across every branch: salaries and employee data are unified.
- Compensation and benefits inside the system for the first time.
- Connected to the business through the ERP integration.
- Employees who manage their own HR needs through an easy-to-use app.
